Profile Edith Bowman's parents owned a hotel.

Edith studied communications at Queen Margaret University College in Edinburgh.

She did work experience at Radio Forth.

Edith made her TV debut presenting on MTV.

As well as TV credits Bowman co-presented, from 2003, with Colin Murray, The Colin and Edith Show, on BBC Radio 1.

In 2004 Edith won Celebrity Fame Academy for Comic Relief, singing Champagne Supernova.

In 2007, Edith Bowman appeared on Saving Planet Earth in aid of the crocodile.

Edith Bowman presents Radio 1's afternoon show.

In 2005, she started going out with Editors singer Tom Smith and, in 2008, they had their first child, Rudy Brae Bowman Smith.

In 2009, the BBC Radio 1 announced that Edith Bowman will move from the 1-4pm weekday slot to present weekend breakfast from 7am-10am.
