Profile In 2009 it was announced that Michael Grade was to leave his post as chief executive of ITV and become non-executive chairman.

In 2006 Michael Grade had become Executive Chairman of ITV, controversially leaving his post as Chairman of the Board of Governors at the BBC.

Michael Grade comes from a family steeped in entertainment.

In 2011, he presented The Story of Variety with Michael Grade on BBC2.
