John Barron, who played CJ in the Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin, first came across Leonard Rossiter in Wolverhampton Rep in the fifties. John Barron trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). In World War II, John Barron served in the Royal Navy. Apart from playing CJ, John Barron's TV roles included playing a judge in Crown Court from 1972 to 1976 and playing the dean in All Gas And Gaiters.
