Ruth Watson presented Channel Five's The Hotel Inspector for three series, but in November 2007 it was revealed that she had signed an exclusive contract with Channel 4, where her credits include Country House Rescue and Ruth Watson's Hotel Rescue.
Before going on TV, back in 1983, Ruth Watson and her husband bought Hintlesham Hall in Suffolk and made it into a hotel with a golf course.
Ruth Watson also owned and transformed the Fox and Goose Inn at Fressingfield.
Watson was food editor of the Daily Mail's Weekend magazine for two years.
