Jay Leno finished as host of the Tonight Show on 30 May 2009.
In September 2009, he started hosting The Jay Leno Show.
However, the move proved disastrous ratings wise for both Leno and his replacement on The Tonight Show, Conan O'Brien, and in January 2010, it was announced that Leno would return to The Tonight Show on 1 March 2010.
Prior to becoming host of "Tonight", since September 1987, Leno had been the exclusive guest host on "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson".
Jay Leno has appeared in numerous comedy shows and made live performances around the United States.
His previous jobs include being the warm-up act for the likes of Tom Jones and John Denver.
