In February 2008, the BBC announced that Barry Humphries CBE will join Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber in BBC One's new talent search show I'd Do Anything in the search for the roles of Nancy and Oliver for Cameron Mackintosh's Oliver.
In January 2008, the BBC reported:
"Entertainer Barry Humphries is to take a six-month break from live performing following appendix surgery."
In June 2007 Barry Humphries was made a CBE for services to entertainment. |
